Superstition Farm!

We went to superstition farms last Thursday with my sister kim and her little guy mason the admission was free so we took full advantage of it and enjoyed the day with farm animals. We took a hay ride around the farm and got to see all the cows that were there. they had a ton of them and there was also a calf that was born that morning. Colton and Mya couldnt get enough of all the animals colton wanted to pet the cows so bad and tried to feed them but they were more scared of him than anything (poor guy). He tried to feed the massive horsies that were there one piece of hay it was halarious and when one of them ate it he was the happiest person ever, he is obsessed with horsies. Mya saw that brother was doing it so she had to do it also. She got an even smaller piece of hay and tried to give it to them. but she was so short the horse couldnt reach her, but i wasnt going to let her actually feed them her hand would have gotten eaten alive with how small the piece of hay was. We saw the goats, chickens and pig (which they were acustom to since grandma winters has some) and bunnies! We had luch there andgot to taste the ice cream made from the cows milk and was really good. So glad i got to have fun with my kiddos at the farm well worth the trip! here are some pictures of our adventure.

Last thursday we decided to take the kids to see Cars 2 since we never got a chance to take colton. We went to the dollar theatre and they thought it was pretty cool and of course we liked it cause it was cheap for all of us to get in. They loved the popcorn especially since they got their own tray like big kids. You cant go to the movies without candy it is a must and i brought suckers to give to them once they got crazy. Well it was still crazy regardless. They werent really into this cars for some reason. to be honest i didnt really like it either the first one is way better. I guess the thought that counts right?! Well first off colton had to go potty then mya was not wanting to sit still. back and forth between me and daddy. It got to the point where we had to go out in the hall and run around a bit for mya to be ok to go back in. Needless to say we will do that again but hopefully mya will be better and enjoy the movie better. Here are some pictures of them enjoying their popcorn. I just love mya's picture she is really into saying cheese and i just love it. Also on the way home we stopped to get chicken nuggets from wendys and mya was so tired that she trying to sleep and eat her chicken at the sametime. it was funny she would stop and sleep and then wake up with her eyes closed to take a bit of her chicken it was halarious.

Mya has been loving singing the alligator song. We sing it at home a lot but we learned it while being in nursery. She does the motion pretty good and looks dang cute doing it! I could just watch her over and over with this video she is jsut too cute!

Yesterday we had an awesome storm. It rained then all of a sudden tons of hail was coming down like crazy. it was a lot of fun to watch and to see the kids have fun. Right when we went outside first thing colton says is mom take off my shirt so i did and he started to run out in the backyard. Of course mya had to be like brother and take her shirt off too. They would take a few steps and get a little wet and then run back in scaredy cats. Colton loved to stand under the water that was falling off the side of the porch. We then looked out front and the road was flooded so we went walking/running in it, it was pretty deep. All of sudden they decide to sit down in it then mya decided to lay down and take a big gulp of water like she normally does in the bath but to her surprise it wasnt that tasty of water. after she did that she looked at me with the face of disgust and could believe she had just done that. they were getting cold so we went in a took a warm bath. We sure enjoyed the rain over here, love these moments with my crazies.

18 months!

Our pretty pincess is 18 months on sept 11th! we went to the doctor cause we forgot to get her 15 month shots i didnt think that he would let me get shots for her 18 months at the same time but he did. So she got 2 shots in her leg because her arm was still to small for the shots. She didnt like the shots at all on the 2nd one she got a hold of and ended up scartching her leg with the needle, that made her even more mad but got over it really fast! brave little girl. Mya is such a sweet, crazy, drama queen but we just love her little personality. she is ruff and tuff cause her older brother makes her that way. he sometimes get a little ruff with her and doesnt realize that she is still so tiny. She can hold her ground though against him (most of the time). Brotherly sisterly love it is so fun to see them play with each other. Colton is SO protective of her. anyone getting to close or takes anything away from her he makes sure he takes care of it for her. It is seriously so cute but sometimes he gets a little crazy.
Mya talk so much and you can totally understand what she says and wants. i can fully communicate with her and i love it. She is learning new words everyday, she will even say exactly what you said and clearly. Colton didnt talk this well and clear when he was this age. probably cause he didnt have a sibling that talked like he does for mya. either way i love that mya talks a lot and can communicate with each other. She is for sure a big diva and drama queen. if she doesnt get what she wants she throws herself on the floor and looks back to make sure she isnt going to hit her head on anything and then falls all the way down. she is so funny! i just love her spunkyness and how she is not affraid to try anything unlike brother who is a little scared to try new things. She is learning right now how to do a summer salt she gets all the way up and trys to flip her legs over but cant quit get it pretty soon she will.
She loves to play duck duck goose she says duck and really hits you on the head once she does it she starts running she will hopefully get the whole thing soon enough. i love how mya will eat anything i pu in front of her she seriously can eat her brother under the table. she can eat 2 pieces of pizza for reals and still want more. where it goes i have no idea she sure doesnt get her metabolism from me she can thank her daddy for that. I could just go on an on about our little princess but i will stop there for now. We sure love this crazy girl and glad she is a part of our family.

Me and the kids took a trip by ourselves to visit my mom. I must have been crazy to do that alone but it wasnt bad at all. i left friday @ 5:30pm i was a little nervous driving in the dark but it was the easiest trips i had taken with the kids and with andrew there to help me. i just popped in a movie and they were good to go not a peep out of them unless they wanted food or drink. Right after the canyon colton decided it was time to go potty. i pulled off at a little rest area and he watered the weeds. i was so scared i always think the worst when it comes to being dark outside. i was convinced that a man was going to pop out of the bushes and get me. i never buckled coltons seat belt so fast in my life. anyways we then stopped in showlow for another potty break and put on jammies cause they were getting tired and knew they would fall asleep.
We got to grammies and colton was so happy to see her. he yelled grammy it was really cute. we then went bed and i decided to sleep in the same room as them (big mistake) i got some sleep but it was ok.
first thing in the morning colton asked to see the kitties while playing with the kitties he noticed the horsies next door. That became a morning ritual as well go pet the horsies and feed them. They were obsessed with these little kitties. they were 4 weeks old and my mom was having to feed them with a dropper filled with milk and colton helped feed them. It was so cute to see his little face when he got to pick them up to feed them. He would rub his head on their heads and would laugh and of course mya couldnt be left out and had to do it too. Everytime mya would sit down all the kitties would come around her and she didnt like that and would freakout and start kicking her legs i couldnt help but laugh all she had to do was get up but that was to easy right?. we then had lunch at the park with my sister april and played and had fun with cousin audrey. later that day we went and saw my grandma i always love to get to see her and eat all of her cookies. She has this passageway that leads from the bathroom to the laundry room and the kids went through it non stop but everytime i tried to take a picture they wouldnt go through, little stinkers.
Monday my mom was suppose to have a soccer game (she is the coach) but it was sprinkling and we decided we werent going to sit out in the rain and watch it cause the storm looked like it was just beginning. So i took the kids to burger place there and while waiting for our food it was pouring so hard. we waited it out and made a mad dash for the car imagine me holding mya holding coltons hand and our food and a drink it was quit crazy. But LOVED every minute of the rain. We really didnt do much of anything while there except for be out side 90% of the time the weather was awesome. it got a little warm during the day but nothing like here. It would cool off at night and it was cold (well for me anyways) i am a city girl for sure now. i would rather be cold then hot though. On tuesday i kept pushing back the time i was leaving cause i didnt want to leave and i knew telling colton we had to leave was going to be hard. I kept telling him that we have to go home and he said i want to stay with grammy and the kitties. poor guy feel in love with those kitties. We made it home safe and sound and hated being back in the heat. The only thing i missed here was my hubby and my puppies. I want to go back asap!

I just LOVE to refinish furniture it is so much fun! This little beaut i found a garage sale for $3 bucks. one i saw it i knew i had to have it. It is seriously the cutest little thing. I knew that i could totally refinish it and make it my own and turn it into something so cute. I sanded it and had it sitting for a while at my house and this week i told myself that i was going to finish this. so i went to walmart and found the color pistachio spray paint and went to work that night when the kids went to bed. I was a little nervous about the color but knew if it didnt workout i could alway change it. The first coat was completed and i ran out of spray paint so back to walmart i went to get the 2nd spray can and finished it the next day while the kids were taking their naps.
I knew that i wanted to antique it but had no idea how to do it. My sister in law had just antiqued hers the day before so asked if she would help me and of course the wonderful woman that she is said yes. So this morning i went to hobby lobby and found some knobs for 50% off and they were so dang cute. So i went over to her house and got right to work. I just let her show me how to do it and was a little nervous to take the raines but did and actually had a lot of fun and so did she. I cant wait to do it to another piece of furniture. Thanks Jenna for all your help it looks awesome.

My very first 10K!

I had been training for this 10k for maybe a month and a half to 2 months. but training all that time didnt prepare me for the altitude change, hills and inclines. It was pretty ruff and just wanted to give up and go back home but i knew i couldnt give up. I was pretty nervous the morning of but i still managed to get it together and just do it. It was suppose to start at 6 but started a little later than that. I ran most of it but had to stop just a couple of times towards the end cause i thought i was going to pass out cause i couldnt breathe that well. I am so glad that i made this a goal of mine and stuck with it. it helped realize i had a great passion for running and really enjoyed the open road. I just loved to get my ipod and just run. I am glad i did and cant wait to sign up for another run to keep me motivated and wanting to keep running even though this heat is tuff to make myself go outside and run. I was glad to see my mom sister heidi and brother in law bruce at the end. after it was over i wanted to sit down but my brother in law told me not to and to keep moving seriously i was like no way but i did to avoid muscle cramps. Here are a few pictures of me at the end i dont look that great but hey i was at the end of running a 10k. I am proud of myself for doing it!

Pioneer day celebration 2011!

We were able to go to saint johns for the 24th of july pioneer days! we always enjoy this time with family and seeing old friends. We got there on tuesday afternoon and decided to enter in the volleyball tournament. Me, andrew my sisters, brother, neice and nephew were all on the team. We had quit the cheering section there for us. We didnt play all that well the 1st game and got spanked but after that we did pretty good and i think we were underestimated a little bit but we had fun. tuesday was the round robin to place everyone, there were 13 teams and we placed 5th. we were pretty proud of ourselves. Wednesday was the actual tournament and we did pretty good but we lost twice and that took us out we stayed in it for a while.I dont know what place we ended up being in after all said and done but we enjoyed doing and glad we did.
Thursday we just hungout and played outside in the nice weather. We went to visit my grandma and she bought us all pizza and the younger kids play a family game that we all love so much. It was kinda hot but always would rain and cool it all off. We went to the ice cream social that night at the park and ate as much free ice cream as we could. later that night we had a bondfire in my mom's backyard. All of the kids loved it and were able to roast some marshmellows. The older kids played sardines while my sister and brother were pyros and played with the fire. Talking and having a good time with my family is always fun.
Friday we just hung around again and the kids just played with my moms little kittys she had. colton didnt like them at first and finally became ok with petting and then holding them. the first thing in the morning when we woke up was mom i want to see the kittys. We went to the park to have lunch and played kickball it was a lot of fun as always. We then went to the campfire circle where there is a huge circle and everyone parks and eats and you walk around talking to everyone you know. There was a family next to us that was giving out cotton candy so of course we got some and colton wasnt to sure about it but mya was all over (no shocker there). My sister took colton and some of the other kids to track down the horsies that were there and thats all he wanted to do was track them down to pet them. he is so obsessed with horsies right now.
i went to bed early that night cause in the morning i was running my 1st 10k. I was so scared and nervous. It was VERY hard to run in the altitude change i thought my throat was going to close up. But after a while it was better. There were so many hills and inclines that i was of course not used to either so it was a little difficult process but i did have to stop a few times but at least i did it. my time was 1hr 17min and 30sec. not my best time but thats ok. i am proud that i stuck to the goal i had and finished it.
After i came home from that we had to get ready for the parade. It was hotter than usual but colton was ready with his grocery bag to get some candy. mya didnt know what to think about us standing in the street waiting for candy but she was loving the freedom to run around. After that we had lunch and had a party for the april, may, june and july birthdays. we ended up leaving sunday morning. it was a lot of fun and glad we got to spend it together as a family. sleeping in 1 room with all 4 of us was intersting too. i was happy to be home but sad to leave the cooler weather and time with family. until next year!

Our 4th of July!

Our 4th of july was a lot of fun with the kids and family! we just layed low for the morning and went to my sister kim's house after the kids woke up from their naps. My brother and his family are visiting from china and we were able to have them here to celebrate with us. we did lots of swimming and had a BBQ. Colton is such a little fish. even though he has tons of floaties on he can still swim good i just have to take extra precaution i just dont want anything bad to happen to him. He loves to pretend like he is sleeping while floating he is a character. I think it is funny how he is scared at first of the water but then comes alive and will swim forever and have so much doing it. Mya is such a daredevil she always wanted to be swimming with the big kids and going down the slide and jumping off the side of the pool. i love how she is so adventurious. anything anyone else does she wanted to try it.
I love spending time with my family and having tons of fun! We were going to go to the fireworks by my sisters house but mya was one cranky tired girl and i figured it wouldnt be that much fun with her and it was past her bedtime. So we drove home and i knew that schnepf farms fireworks started later so i knew we wouldnt miss them. We put mya to bed and waited for the fireworks to start and this dust storm took over and we had to go inside and wait. It seemed like it took forever for them to start so i put colton to bed and then looked out our front yard and sae them going off so i woke colton up and went and sat outside and watched them he like it at first but then the wind picked up and he was scared of the noises the trees were making so we went back inside and put him back inside. He was affraid of the sparklers so we used a total of 2 sparklers what a waste oh well not much you can do now. It was a fun day and glad i got to spend it with my little family and my brother and sisters.
i am greatful for this country we live in and all the freedom we have. Hope everyone had a good 4th of July!

Summer movie fun!

We have been going to the summer movies a lot this summer and the kids love it! sometimes it is more than a hassle to get them ready to go but it is nice to get out of the house every week. Colton has become quit the movie watcher and loves being in the theatre. Everytime we walk into the theatre he says wow mom look at that. He tries to act like he doesnt need a booster seat but then shortly after he realizes he does. You can tell on his face that he feels like such a big boy. Mya does pretty good but gets a little ant her pants and cant sit still towards the end. But if she has popcorn she is pretty good throughout the whole thing. Besides colton going potty 3 times it is so worth and fun for us to go together. I love being able to spend time with my kids. They are the sweetest kids ever and i am so lucky they are mine. The 1st picture took me like 10 times to get them both to look. colton would say sissy look at mom and she would always look at him when i snapped the picture. finally i got one and they look so cute!

Happy Father's Day to my hubby! Wow i am one lucky girl to have such an amazing husband and Father. Andrew is such a great day and the kids just love him to pieces. They get so excited when daddy comes home they run to him yelling and screaming daddy. It kinda makes me jealous a little bit. But I know that he enjoys it as much as i love seeing it happen. Andrew does so much for our little family and we are so lucky that he provides for us. He is such a hands on daddy and the kids are so in love with him and loves all that he does. Colton sure looks up to him and always wants to help daddy, it is too cute to see them together. We love you andrew and appreciate all you do for us. Goals!

Right now i am starting to train for a 10k. i just started back up running on tues from a 2 month break. Let me tell ya getting back into isnt as bad as i thought it was going to be. I was able to pick up where i left off and was pretty shocked that i could do that. I started out running 2.2 miles tuesday and wednesday. Today i decided to step it up a little bit so i ran a 5k (3.2 miles) it was pretty hard to add that extra mile due to a little breeze that didnt help , but i knew that i had to push myself to do and i did. I am not one that can just workout to workout. i have to have a goal in mind to help me along the way but hey i am at least doing it right.

well on July 23rd i am going to run the 10k in my hometown of saint johns for the pioneer day celebration that goes on each year. My sister heidi did it last year so i decided i wanted to run it this year and i hope that she will join me in doing it. It would be cool to do it together and be supports for each other. if not i know that i can still do it, i just have to know how to work the mental part of it and so far it is winning. I am pretty proud of myself for making this goal and sticking to it. In the process it better help me loose weight, haha no but really it better. I will be running 4-5 days a week depending on schedules but if i dont run i will do my famous jillian michaels workout video. Let me tell you if you want something that works gets this video i saw results after the 1st week.
Anyways if you set goals go for it and dont look back. if anyone needs a support system or someone to remind them to workout i can be that girl for you. I love that i will reach this goal in just a month and a half. Woot woot go me!

New tricks!

I was doing the dishes this morning and mya grabbed a spoon and took off running. next thing i know colton comes up to me and shows me his cool trick! i run to get my camera in hopes that he would leave on there and sure enough he did. He even said cheese with it still on there. He was pretty proud of himself and well so was I! Its not everyday you see a 2 1/2 year old pull that trick off. He even blew on the spoon to make it stick better! I sure love this baby boy and love to see him learn new tricks.

Dancing Queen!

LOVE it!

I finally got it on video. everytime she would start dancing and i pulled out the camera she would stop, doesnt ever kid do that? well mine seem to. Mya is seriously the cutest dancer i have seen. She starts dancing at the drop of a hat. once that music is going she will start shaking it. I wonder if this means she will like to do dance when she gets older, who knows. But we are loving all her crazy dance moves she comes up with. I love to see her little personality come alive. I am lucky she is mine and love her to pieces.

Easter 2011!

Easter was filled with lots of family and fun! We first had an easter party the weekend before easter with andrews side of the family. There was lots of yummy food and wonderful company. We ate and then while the adults were hiding the easter eggs my mother in law was giving the true meaning of easter it was cute to see kids tell about the savior. Then after that we were on the hunt for eggs. andrews grandma also has bags with toys for each of the kids so we searched around and found our kids and they loved everything they got of course went straight for the candy. It is always a great time hanging out with the winters they are so much fun and we have a wonderful time together.

The saturday before easter we had a party at my sisters house. Some of the older kids braved the freezing water and went swimming. we ate dinner and then all the men went to the park to hide the eggs. we then trecked over to the park with the kids and they went crazy getting all the eggs. well being that my kids are the smallest and youngest they were quit so fast but they still had fun collecting eggs and eating all the candy. The kids played and coltons cousin clayton was helping colton hit the ball with a bat. he sure loved having a big kid play and have fun with him.
We had a great easter and glad that we have such wonderful families to be around. I am so thankful for the savior and all that he has done for us. I love my little family and so happy that i get to be a mom and wife. Hope everyone had a great easter. warning picture overload but my kids are so cute i had to put them all in!

She can walk, she can WALK!

Well finally my sweet little princess can WALK! i am so happy that i dont have to carry her everywhere now and her knees wont be so beat up. she will walk and if she falls she will crawl still too but what baby doesnt do that when they first start walking? I went to my moms house this weekend and she all of a sudden decided that she was going to take a risk and start letting go of things and start moving those feet by herself. I could tell she was a little scared but once she started doing it more she was so happy to be moving with the other kids. Colton has been helping her walk too, he will grab her hands when she is standing and will say come on sissy walk with me, and she absolutely loves it when he does that. Also when we were driving back home me and my sister stopped to eat and i was giving mya her food to eat and she said thank you, i looked at my sister and i asked did you hear that she was like yeah she totally said thank you, she is learning new things so fast but i love it! anyways, i KNOW she will be into everything but colton already is so whats one more. cant believe she is walking and getting so big but we love her to pieces. We love you baby girl!

Smith family Fun!

My brother came into town from china with his family because they bought a home here and stayed for a week and a half. My sister came from utah minus her hubby he had to work but come to find out he had sat sun and monday off he was so sad that he couldnt come, my other sister and brother who live in saint johns also came along with my parents, all 41 of us were together.

we started the family fun off on friday night with the adult dinner. We are the worst people to decide where to eat. first it was joes bbq but not as many people wanted that so we took a vote either olive garden or joes bbq. it was tied 7 wanted joes and 7 wanted olive garden, my mom was the deciding factor and she chose olive garden. so off we went but with such a large party of 15 wasnt going to be that easy to get in fast it was suppose to be like an 1 1/2 wait. we tried calling other places and pretty much was the same we kept going back and forth should we just go to joes. but we figured by the time we got there it would have been the same time for us to get into olive garden. So we finally decided to stay. it was a lot of fun with everyone we sure kept that place a rockin we are always so loud when we are all together.

Next day we had a family bbq at the park by my sister heidis house for jan, feb and march birthdays. we had a scavenger that my mom always does for the kids and then we split up the teams for our annual kickball game. It was the champions vs destroyers we had a so much fun and all the kids had a blast. We played for a long time but we enjoyed every minute of it, but someone always gets hurt when you are having fun, my brother in law bruce slid into home and got his finger caught on home plate and tore his finger nail back and was bleeding a lot but he was ok just some bandages and he was good to go. After that we started the food on the grill and opened presents for those who had a birthday. We had lots of yummy food and ate till we were going to explode or at least i did.

On tuesday we went to Bounce U it is a place where they have slides obstacle courses and fun stuff we had pizza and just had a ball. Colton thought it was pretty fun he kept saying i went to the bounce house. he went down the slides and climbed on the obstacle courses by himself he was so proud. He also got to play air hockey for his first time and he was having a lot of fun with that. mya just crawled around and played with the balls they had there. My 2 brothers got in the boxing ring with these huge gloves on and were pounding each other and were tired after just a few minutes what a bunch of oldies, haha. We just hungout the next few days at his house and let the kids play colton loves playing with the older boys. I love getting to spend time with all of my family we always have such a great time. these are the moments i feel so blessed to have my family! cant wait to the next smith family fun! here are some pictures of the family fun

Our pretty princess turned 1!

Mya turned 1 on march 11th! All i can say right now is where did the time go? it went to fast thats for sure. Mya has been such a wonderful baby and we couldnt be any happier to have her in our little family. She is a mommies girl like no other and sometimes it is out of control. if someone else is holding her and she sees me she will either cry or do a sad face and try to come to me, i love it but sometimes i need a break. She does NOT walk yet, she is so lazy. But she will get it soon enough. I know that colton wants her to run and play with him so bad. But they do tackle each other and she can hold her ground it is quit funny, sometimes colton screams to get her off.
Mya loves to talk and dance. you say mya dance and she bounces around she thinks she is dancing i love it! She still has no teeth but i think some are working their way in now. it is crazy how different my 2 babies are. She is small but the biggest drama queen ever and very spoiled.

We survived 5 years!

On January 14th me and andrew celebrated our 5 year anniversary. Can you believe we survived, haha. We have Bought our first home, had 2 wonderful cute adorable kids and have 2 crazy dogs. It has been a wild ride so far but I have enjoyed every minute of it. I couldnt have asked for a better husband and father than andrew. He is such a great man and i am so lucky he is mine. We have grown so much closer to each and have learned a lot about one another. I have loved learning new things about andrew throughout the years. We are so happy and could be enjoying life more than we are now. We have been through a lot of ups and downs but it only brought us closer together. I am thankful to heavenly father for bringing this wonderful man into my life. I couldnt imagine life without him. I love you andrew and look forward to many more years together. Finally she has a little bit of hair to have one tiny little ponytail. She hates headbands and will normally have them pulled off before i can even get them completely on her head. she wasnt to happy when i put in this ponytail but she hasnt pulled it out YET anyways. I know it is only a matter of time before she pulls it out. i tried to even put a clip on there and it covered it completely, so we will wait till it gets longer. It makes her forehead look bigger but i dont care i am sick of her being called a boy, even though she has her ears pierced and will be dressed in pink and in a flower pink carseat come on people. Our Christmas!

Our christmas was a lot of fun this year. Colton knew what was going on and loved every minute of it. To start off our christmas this year we had a christmas party a few weeks before christmas. It a lot of fun as usual. We made these cute reindeer and santa with nutter butter cookies. colton only liked the candy so i made them for him, and they tasted so good. anyways then santa made a visit. Colton only likes santa from a distance so of course he freaked out, but then shortly realized that it was andrews dad and started yelling grandpa it was pretty funny. Then we had a white elephant exchange for the adults and kids it was fun seeing everyone go after each others gifts.
christmas eve we were at andrews parents house, we had lots of yummy food and treat and hung out and had a bond fire outside. colton wasnt digging the fire and neither was mya. We then opened or jammies from grandma and grandpa, i love this tradition! then it was time to get the kids dressed in jammies and went home to wait for santa. while i was finishing wrapping presents my best friend sarah came over for a visit it was nice to catch up i love her and wished she lived right next door to me. While they were here we got a knock at the door and there was some pretty awesome gifts for us that we were in need of. I wanted to cry but held it in i didnt want to look like a weirdo. Whoever it was i sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart it was an act of giving thats for sure you will be blessed.
Christmas Day colton woke up early and wanted to eat and i tried to tell him santa came but he was more interested in eating first. After he was done we went and woke up daddy so he could see colton open his presents. Mya was still asleep and i was not about to wake her up nore did she even know what was going on. Colton went straight for his tricycle and truck. when he opened each present he wanted to play with them right at that moment, so unwrapping presents took him a while. He got a woody that he loves so much and some cars trucks and thomas the train and the movie car stuff. He was in heaven and didnt know what to do with all these new toys. we only got mya a doll since she didnt know what was happening, she loved to eat her face.
I am greatful for the true reason we celebrate christmas, i love that colton is slowly learning about jesus. i am greatful for the gospel in my life and what it has taught me so i can pass it onto my kids. i am greatful for my family and friends for all they have done for me. I am truly blessed with a wonderful little family. I am so happy i get the opportunity to be a mommy to these 2 sweet little babies and a wife to my husband. Life couldnt get any better. Today i took both kids to the doctor for coltons 2yr check up and myas 9 months. I cant believe how fast these 2 are growing up. They are so fun to have around and there is never a dull moment. These 2 kids are inseperable They love each other so much even if colton tries to tackle her sometimes. they are just so good to each other.

Colton is a crazy maniac and loves getting into things he knows he shouldnt. he loves torturing the dogs but then will love on them weird kid. He is very good with his little sister he loves to make her laugh especially when we are in the car he plays peek a boo with her and she just loves it, makes it easy to be in the car. He loves to hold her and feels like such a big boy. He sleeps in a big boy bed and now gets out of it and opens the door and says mom i awake, it is seriously the cutest thing ever, i was so shocked when i heard him open his door all by himself i was thinking where did my baby go. He is such a big helper he wants to help with EVERYTHING sometimes a little to much but i enjoy having a little sidekick. He loves to be outside and now can unlock the sliding door and go run free in the backyard. Colton is such a fire ball but love every bit of him

Mya is 9 months yet she looks like she is 4 months. everyone is so shocked when i say how old she is they are like she is tiny. i dont know where she came from, i was so used to a huge chunky baby with colton. but oh well she is petite and i love it! mya is one big DIVA, she is such a girl and spolied rotten. She knows how to melt daddys heart. She is such a good happy baby girl. it doesnt take much to get her to smile. I love her smile and little tongue that sticks out. She loves anything that can go into her mouth, yet she has no teeth i dont know if she ever will. She is army crawling and gets on her knees and really wants to move but doesnt little stinker. she is kinda starting to pull herself up on things but not anything like the couch, oh well she will get it. She is such a mommies girl if someone is holding her and she hears my voice she will search all over for me, its kinda hard but kinda like it at the sametime makes me feel loved. She talks non stop and andrew says she got that from me, what no way! mya is such a fun little girl and love her to pieces.

A trip to schnepf farms

We decided to go to schnepf farms. The admission was free so thats the only reason we went. We went first went to see all the animals Colton loved them all and didnt want to leave. Went then went down the slides and took a hay ride to go feed the reindeer. Colton would literally get one piece of hay and try to give it to them the reindeer tried really hard to get it from him but it didnt work out that well, but it was fun to watch him. We then went on the train ride. Colton really loves trains. everytime it would toot its horn he went nuts. I didnt realized how big that place was. there were so many thing to do there. We had a lot of fun with my sister her hubby and cousin mason.

November 26th was coltons 2nd birthday! so crazy how things just fly by, it seems just like yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. He is the cutest happiest little boy i have ever met. He is such a big boy and loves being called a big boy he gets really happy when we say that he is such a big boy for doing that. We had a little party for him here at our house, he loved it and had a lot of fun playing with cousins, aunt, uncles and friends. Of course he loved presents, he started screaming presents when i told him it was time to open them. Watching him open them was so cute, his facial expressions just says it all, he was one happy camper.

Things that have happened to colton since he was 1:
Been hospitalized for 3 days

He now sleeps in a big boy bed

Family Fun!

Tonight we were all just hanging out having some fun family time. I got colton this truck tent from a garage sale and i knew it would be a hit, not only colton loved it but so did daddy! the top was kinda coming off so i just tore it off and gave the truck a sun roof. Colton wanted daddy to come in the truck with him. He somehow got him to get in. Colton was seriously on cloud nine he started screaming and having a ball. He kept asking daddy to move over but there wasnt any room for daddy to go anywhere, it was funny. I taught him to make the horn sound that those trucks make and he wanted everyone to do it with him. A little while later colton was in there by himself and driving it around and making the horn sound, it was pretty dang cute. Then colton somehow convinces daddy to get in again, i then was doing something in the kitchen and found all three of them in there i started laughing and of course had to take a picture, colton wanted mommy to come in too but there for sure wasnt enough room for all 4 of us. i did get in it earlier when daddy was sleeping. Anyways it was a great night as a family! I sure cherrish these times when i get spend quality time with them, even if it means being in a truck tent. Love my cute little family.

Halloween 2010!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year! colton was a dinosaur and mya was a sweet little ladybug I made some of mya's costume and it was a lot of fun for me (nothing fancy but i had fun).
On saturday we had a family party with all of my sisters and their families. It truely was one of the best parties ever. each family was suppose to have their own game for everyone to play. To start off the festivities we had an eyeball hunt, where you had a pot filled with spagetti noodles and grapes as the eyes and whoever found the most won.
Then it was time to eat dinner, homemade chicken noodles soup, rolls, and salad. It was SO yummy! after that we went outside and played candy corn relay, whoever could fill up their skulls with candy corn first won. We then just hungout and and enjoyed the cool weather and watched the kids play.
We then proceeded to make spiders and witches hands with popcorn in it (of course i had to make them both) but after i was done colton loved the krafts. we then just hungout more and let all of our food and candy settle in our tummies.
Then it was time for the cupcake walk ( i think everyone knows how to play that one so i am not going to explain it, haha). then it was time to clean up and head on home. I am so glad i have my sisters and their families to be around, i am so lucky. Cant wait till next year. here are some pictures of our cute kiddos all in costume. My sweet baby girl is 7 months old! she is still a little tiny girl but so dang cute that it doesnt even matter. We went to the doctor today and got 3 shots i hate shots it makes me so sad when she cries. but she did fantastic, colton was such a cute big brother and was trying to help put her paci in her mouth. i can already tell he is watching out for her.
She is for sure a drama queen, everything is so dramatic to her. She is such a huge talker and just rambles on forever. She doesnt like to sit up she scoots her legs right out from underneath her, she would rather be standing or jumping, maybe that means she will be walking sooner, who knows. she can scoot around on her back she pushes off with her heels and away she goes it is funny to watch her. she was wants to crawl so bad if i but a toy out of her reach she trys her little heart out to get it she becomes very focus tongue out and all.

I could just go on and on about her. she is the sweetest baby girl and we are lucky to have her.

Yuck rice cereal!

On august 18th we tried our first attempt with rice cereal. She ate it like it was the best thing on earth, she must have been hungry cause everytime i took the spoon away to get more she would freak out. Well we tried it again to see what she would do and boy was it the opposite from the night before. She gagged everytime i put it in her mouth. She even did the body shake thats how bad it was. Me and andrew couldnt help but laugh so hard, it was funny. I hope she will transistion to food easily, colton did so lets keep our fingers crossed. We love this little bundle of joy she is so sweet.

Our sweet baby girl is 5 months old already! We got her 4 month shots and stats yesterday due to the doctor being so busy with school starting and everyone wanting to get in. Oh well, she did so good with the shots. she didnt even cry till the 2nd shot, the nurse was surprised at how good she was. she loves to grab at anything she can get her little hands on, i love when she cuddles with me and grabs and touches my face its like she is making sure i am there (well thats what i think anyways). she cannot roll over probably cause she hates to be on her belly (so did her brother) guess it runs in the family. She can talk your ear off and is laughing like crazy. She loves when brother makes her laugh but hates it when he scares her (which happens a lot). she LOVES her jumperoo she thinks she is pretty cool but has to make sure you are always watching her. Her big brother loves her and loves to give kisses, it is so cute to watch. We are so lucky that she came into our family and cant wait to see her continue to grow into this adorable baby girl!

I was able to go and spend sometime with the kids at my moms house for 2 weeks, yes i said 2 weeks. My brother and his family came from china so i thought i would spend some time with them at my parents house, it was a lot of fun but i am glad to be back in my own bed and get back into a routine. The kids had a blast. We lived outside a good majority of the time. Colton was in love the with the kittys that that my mom had. He would say meow and pointed outside, of course we had to go and see if they were in sight to pet them. Every morning he woke up so early so it was our morning tradition to go see the meows. He loved it and so did i, anything to see him happy makes me happy. It was so nice for colton to have someone play with him and just love on him. My nephew stephen just played with him a lot and colton thought that he was pretty cool to hangout with the big boys. Coltons vocabulary sky rocketed while we were there he says pretty much anything you say, i love it my baby boy is growing up so fast.
The following week was the 24th of july pioneer celebration. Andrew was able to come and spend the week with us and it was nice to have daddy with us. andrew was able to play in the basketball tournament with my cousin. He had fun but was really tired after playing each day. but i am glad there was something for him to do. He hates going to saint johns he is to much of a city boy to enjoy the small town. Colton has become obsessed with horses my moms neighbor has horses in the pasture behind their house and colton had to go and see them as much as he could. at the rodeo he would see a horse and bolt to the fence to see them running by him. At the parade saturday morning there were tons of horses and he about jumped out of my arms to go get them but he would have gotten trampled. We got candy a little wet from water balloons being thrown at us but he had so much fun. Mya and andrew stayed sitting in the shade to keep cool, but it was still a ton of fun.
We did lots of things to keep busy, plenty of water sliding, playing basketball, swimming, bouning around in the bounce house my mom has,and just hanging out in the cool weather. I didnt want to come back to this heat and not being able to go outside, it was ruff for colton he just got so used to being outside and now we cant stay out longer than a few minutes without roasting oh well not much we can do about it. I am so glad we got to spend that time with my mom and for my kids to see their grammie and papa. Being with family is the best thing on earth, i am so lucky to have them in my life. here are some pictures of the trip they are out of order i am to lazy to fix them.

Last night we celebrated the june birthdays with my family. my parents were in town so we all decided to go to the pool. My sisters have season passes and were able to get us all in for free, Thanks heidi and mindy. Colton had a blast and i am sure we will go again soon. There were slides for adults and kids and then there was a baby slide that colton thought was pretty awesome, it is in the shape of a frog and you slide down his tongue. Colton wanted to keep going and going we finally had to stop and he wasnt to happy about that. Me and andrew went down the big slides and i got a nose full of water, but it was fun. There was also these buckets that would fill up with water and then fall, me and colton got rocked it made my swimsuit come off my shoulder and my hair all in my face, that water comes crashing down on you and it doesnt feel to great but we still had fun. Its always fun to hangout and be with family. Here are a few pictures at the pool.

My little Man is 18 months! i cant believe he is almost 2 where has the time gone. We went to the doctor today for his shots and he cried for just a little bit he was so brave, they gave him a otter pop cause he did so great, he was so excited and ate it so fast. He is such a fun guy, he is such a flirt and knows it. He loves to be mommys big helper he always throws his sisters diapers or his own away and says trash and runs to the trash to throw it away. He is learning new thing and words everyday. He loves his baby sister so much he always puts his hands out and says baby that means he wants to hold her, even though it only lasts for a few seconds it is priceless to see his little face light up. He has a mouth full of teeth and some are still making their way in. I love that he understands me when i ask him if he wants something he will nod his head and if he doesnt i get nothing so funny. He can say more than 20 words, and still learning. He loves to give high fives and nuckles. Even if he is scared of someone he will still give them a high five it is funny. I love Colton so much and i am so lucky and blessed that he is all mine. We love you colton.

On May 16th we blessed our beautiful little baby girl! she looked so pretty. She was great during the blessing, she was asleep and once the prayer was over she was wide awake. Weird how that happens but i was glad that she didnt cry at all. My dad gave her the blessing and it was the best blessing i have ever heard, he did an excellent job. We are so blessed to have this wonderful baby girl in our lives. She brings so much joy into our home. I couldnt imagine life without our little angel. I am greatful to have such great family who was able to come and support us.

Also mya turned 2 months. She is smiling like no other but when i pull out the camera to take some snapshots she is not about to smile (little turkey). She is such a cuddly baby. Colton did not like to be cuddled so i am taking advantage while i can. She seems to be a tad bit of a mammas girl the only other person that she will allow to hold her is daddy. Everyone else she will cry within seconds, it is kinda exhausting but i love it, it makes me feel needed. Colton is becoming to have a love for her. He LOVES to hold her he thinks he is pretty cool when she sits on his lap it is so cute. Just this morning he was laying on his back and we set her on his stomach and she threw up on him he tried to stop it from coming out, it was funny he didnt know what was happening. We are so greatful for the opportunity to get to raise these 2 sweet babies heaven father has given us such wonderful blessing and we are truly greatful for that.

Ever since we have brought mya home colton has become quite jealous of her. He climbs in her swing, bouncers and bassinett and thinks he is the baby. He is determined to be the baby still. Granted he is only 16 months and really still is a baby he wants to still be called the baby. Hopefully he will get over that and still know that we love him regardless that mya is around. It is challenging having 2 kids but it is getting better. Just trying to get into somewhat of a schedule well if you can call it that is hard. But colton is getting better with her and loves her a lot more than when he first saw her. He cant wait to see her in the morning he runs right over to her and wants to kiss her hair, i dont know why he does that but i think he likes the way her hair feels on his lips, weird i know but it is cute to see him love on her. He tries to help me burp her while i am feeding he pats her back and then laughs cause he thinks he is so cool and such a big helper (which he is) he loves to throw away her poopy diapers and then will give me a high five and then knuckles it is too cute. We love our crazy bug.

My little angel is 1 month old! i cant believe how fast time flies. She is such a joy to have in our home. colton is such a good big brother but gets jealous a lot when i am feeding Mya and holding her instead of him. I sometimes feel like i dont spend enough time with him but once i fully get a grasp on having a new baby, having 2 kids to take care of i will get better at being a good mom. Mya is soo sweet and precious. She is always laughing and smiling in her sleep. I always wonder what they think and dream about at this age. she is still a small little peanut but is growing each day and beautiful as can be. We are so happy to have her a part of this family we are truly blessed to have such wonderful babies. we love you mya and cant wait to see what you can do next. i realized that most of these pictures are of her sleeping, but that pretty much what she does and loves to do right now. Love you baby girl.

Easter Weekend!

Easter was fun this year cause colton knew a little more about what was going on. We went up to heber for my moms 60th birthday party. It was so much fun we rented a huge cabin that was able to fit all 37 of us and it had a lot of things to do there. i spent a lot of it inside cause i didnt want Mya to get sick cause it was cold there. But i was able to capture a lot of fun moments. There was a zip line that all the kids couldnt get enough of, even my mom went down it that was funny to see her going down it i think she even screamed, what a fun mom and grammy. That night we played family feud the in laws against the smith family, And we lost boohoo! but it was so much fun it got heated a few times but we had a blast.
Colton and andrew spent a lot of time playing on the playground and in the sand volleyball court and just running around. He loved it cause he was able to be outside a lot and had open range. Everyone just loved him and how happy and how he smiled all the time. i am so glad to have such happy babies. saturday morning was an early one for us mya woke up at 4:30 to eat which woke up colton so he was alive and wasnt about to go back to sleep. So we let daddy and Mya sleep while we went and played with the neices and nephews that we awake and they just loved to play with colton. colton is lucky to have such wonderful cousins who get on his level and could just play with him for hours. A few hours later (well a lot later) we had the egg hunt. Colton was so excited to get the eggs but wanted to eat each one as we went but he did a good job. Mya was a good baby let anyone hold her and slept a lot so she didnt really do much. We had to leave after lunch cause andrew had to work that night. We had so much seeing family that we havent seen in a long time, and also a shout out to my amazing mom we love you and happy 60th birthday!
We went to andrews moms on sunday and just hungout with his family, watched conference, and ate a ton of food. I just love spending time with family. Hope everyone had a great Easter! here are a few pictures of the weekend.

Our crazy Little man is 16 months. He is so much fun to have around our home. He is into EVERYTHING like always and is a typical boy. He is such a good big brother, every morning when he wakes up and sees his sister he gets so excited and wants to hold her and kiss her it is so cute to watch. He is learning that he has to be soft with her and is doing really good. He will come and sit next to me and eat a snack while i feed sister he thinks he is pretty cool when he does that (i think he likes the snack more than anything.)
He is alway keeps us laughing it is never a dull moment with this crazy maniac. He loves to flirt with any girl he sees and is always so happy. For some reason every night he comes really alive and is crazy, he will chase around our dogs and think that it is the funniest thing in the world he laughs so hard that you cant help but laugh with him. He is really obsessed with airplanes, he will stop whatever he is doing and point up in the air when a plane goes by. When we go on walks and they fly over us he gets so happy and waves to them as they go by.
He loves to help me with whatever i am doing especially the dishes. He loves to throw away baby sisters diapers and helps with the laundry and his new thing is sweeping he thinks its pretty awesome when i let him have it and goes to the kitchen and pushes it around. Everytime i have to change his diaper i say lets change your bum and he runs to his room waiting for me and also for bed i say lets go nigh night and he runs to his bed. Everytime he hears the bath he is trying to strip off his clothes, once we help him he runs naked to the bath and trys to jump in. I just love this little man to pieces i could go on and on about him he is just so fun. Here are some pictures of him crazy as always.

Today my little princess is 2 weeks old! She is such a good baby and is doing good. Since she isnt really doing much since eating, sleeping and pooping all over me, she is such a joy to have in our home besides all the sleepless nights. I love all the noises she makes and smiles and laughs. Colton is such a cute big brother he loves her now and wants to hug and kiss her all the time. Sometimes he is a little ruff but that will get better. She went to the doctor today and her stats are:

Weight: 6lbs 7oz (5th percentile)
height: 19 1/2 inches (20th percentile)
Head: didnt get the measurement but (13th percentile)

So i am not use to seeing these numbers. I am used to seeing through the roof numbers, colton was such a big baby and mya is so itty bitty. but i guess that it is a good thing right. We are so lucky and blessed that we have this sweet baby girl in our home, we all just love her to pieces. well here are just a few pictures of our little girl.

Mya Ann Winters

SHE IS HERE! Our little princess made her debute into the world. Mya Ann Winters was born March 11th @ 7:04pm weighing in @ a whopping 6lbs 5oz and 19 1/2 inches long she was born @ 37 weeks and 1 day.
This delivery was a walk in the park, it was wonderful and fast. It was so fast it seemed like we blinked and out she came. I went into my doctor that day and i was dialated to a 4 plus. So my doctor told me to go walk the mall and then go to the hospital after that and she will let them admit me. So off to the mall we went and ate lunch and walked into the hospital. We waited for what seemed like eternity to get us a room, but finally we did @ almost 5. They got me all hooked up and ivy in and pitocine started, and then i started to feel the contractions i felt like i was going to die, i dont know why anyone would want to feel that pain. After i got that i was much better, i couldnt feel a thing (with colton i felt it when he came out). Right after the epidural was done and couldnt feel anything the nurse checked me and i was @ a 5. Then 20 min later my doctor came in and checked me and i was a 9. Wow that was fast (was i really ready for this) i was a little nervous but i had to be ready cause she was coming. At that point i called andrews mom and told her i was a 9 and she said we are coming and hung up on me. Luckil they dont live to far. My doctor said are you ready she is right there and my mother in law wasnt there so we waited a few minutes for her to come into the room. I told her if i was in pain i wouldnt have waited. So i started to push and was half way through and she said stop cause her head was out and needed to suction her mouth and nose. After that i did another half push and out she came.
When colton met her for the first time he tried pushing her away and whined a little he wanted nothing to do with her at all. he seemed like he was mad that we left him for so long or it was a different place for him to be in. But now he is so cute with her when he sees her he gives her a big kiss and cant keep his hands off of her, sometimes he is a little ruff but he is getting better. We are so blessed to have this miracle come into our home. She is so cute and sweet and lucky that she came to our family.

This was my first time refinishing furniture. I was wondering how i was going to do it knowing i had no idea what i was doing. But a little help from andrew on how to work the sander i was able to do it. I would sand a side of the dresser and ask andrew if it was good enough. He would help me if it needed more sanding. The sander was so loud i wanted to cry and i am sure baby girl did too. I am not one who starts projects and actually finishes them. So i was determined to do this all on my own and have it ready for our baby girl. I was very proud of myself and andrew was shocked that i finished it and it turned out good, he told me that he was proud of me, that always make anyone feel good. Colton had to jump in any moment that he could. He tried to help daddy take off all the hardware on the dresser and would carry around the screw drivers and give them to andrew. He would climb into the dresser and just sit there with a hug smile on his face. I love my little crazy man so much. Anyways i am proud that it is completed but probably will never do it again it was a lot of work, but worth it. Here are a few pictures of the process.

2010 off to a bad start (long post)

New year eve is where it started. We were having a ton of fun at andrews brothers house. We kept having a diaper full of not so good stuff and then he threw up. It never stopped from there. thanks to a wonderful sister in law who cleaned it up as we gave him a bath, it was everywhere. We tried and tried to keep him hydrated and eating but nothing was working. By the time it got to be sunday our poor little man couldnt keep anthing down and i mean anything not even a few sips of water. So off to the ER we went. The nurses couldnt even find a vein to get blood and put in an ivy because he was sooo deyhrated. Finally they got a vein in his foot and were able to get blood, they told us that he was severely dehydrated and his blood sugar was low and had a fever, he is suppose to be @ 80 and was47. While we waited to get fluids in him I had to lay with him in the bed and hold him while he slept. He was so limp it was terrifying. After we got one round of fluids they took more blood to check his sugar levels and they had gone up to 57 (still not good).
So they told us that we had to go to the banner desert for the pediatrics unit. come to find out that banner gateway doesnt do pediatrics anymore. Go figure our luck that would happen. Since colton had an ivy in we couldnt take him ourselves because it was a liability for the hospital, so me and colton got to take a ride in the ambulance (not a fun experience) Colton was put in carseat then strapped that to the girny. He thought the he was pretty cool, me on the other hand it was hot, bumpy and i couldnt see the road ( i get car sick) so i was dying to get there and get some fresh air. Andrew followed behind us. The ambulance guys were sprinting to the elevator and me prego tried my hardest to keep up with them so colton wouldnt freakout since he didnt know who they were (he has stranger danger issues, sometimes good but mostly annoying).
We got there after 5 1/2 hrs in the ER and got all settled in. We just hungout and and colton didnt do much but sleep and try to eat jello. Poor guy was so hungry but they didnt want him to eat a normal diet until we got things under control so he drank water and juice and jello.
They kept asking us to give a stool sample well the consistancy wasnt where they could get one.
then it was time for bed colton sometimes slept in the bed/crib that they had and me and andrew shared this hard as a rock bed (not good for a prego lady) so needless to say i got like 1 hr of sleep. we were told that the doctor would be in the next morning and wanted to get more blood to check some things and then would be in to talk to us. We got the blood drawn and colton got a toy for being such a good boy, he was really excited. well morning came and gone and the doctor finally showed up round 1. she said that the blood work looked good and would be able to leave by 6 that night. thank goodness we were all so tired and ready to be home in our own beds. coltons needle on his ivy came out and the doctor said it was fine since he was drinking fluids good on his own.
Me and andrew started packing up the room and then colton ended up getting a fever again and then threw up. So the doctor said dont even think about leaving. I was so sad, I started to cry after they left andrew didnt know what to do (he hates when i cry) i was just so tired and warn out and had my mind set on going home. After we got past the shock of not going home we made the best of it and tried hard to get some sleep. this time they gave andrew a cot and me and colton shared the bed. The new nurses said lets try something to catch his stool so they could send it off to the lab. So they made up this weird contraption and were able to get some and said the results would be in the morning. The doctor came in bright and early and said that the results from his lab showed that he had rotavirus. There is no medication to help it, it just has to take its course. She said it normally last 7-10 days and he was at like day 4. So she said just keep him hydrated and he will slowly get his appetite back. We left the hospital and had to disinfect the whole house to get rid of any germs of the virus that were there just in case.
I have no idea where he got this from but i felt like such a bad mom when i saw him there lifeless and not himself. I was a wreck but knew that i had to hold it together and not let him see that i was scared. I think i say like a million prayers. thanks to those who helped us and prayed for us.
Colton is doing so much better he is sleeping a lot but that is good. I hope that we get rid of this virus and never have it come back. i dont think that i could do that all over again. It is contagious to us so we have to be careful as well. lots of hand washing, my hands are already dry but now they are worse. Well sorry for the long post but i had to document our experience. Christmas 2009!

Christmas was fun this year. Colton didnt quit get it completely but he was still a ton of fun. He loves christmas lights so much, he would wait every night by the gate for us to let him into the living room to turn on all the christmas lights and also the outside ones. Just to see his little face light up was worth it and was priceless.
We had a christmas party with my family the weekend before christmas. My brother from china happened to be in town for business so we got to catch up with him. We did a breakfast and did a kraft and just played with all the kids. that night we did a bond fire and pizza then later we did smores.
On christmas eve we were at andrews parents house. we had lots of goodies and watched old christmas movies and talked. We then went home to wait for santa. Colton woke up bright and early and went straight into the living room and we turned on the christmas tree and he went nuts. He then opened all of his presents and loved them all and wanted them opened right away.
next year will be soo much more fun he will hopefully be into opening his presents. We will also have our new little addition to the family so it will all be complete. I am so thankful for all the family and friends that we have. We are truly blessed to have them all in our lives. I hope everyone had a great christmas.

My little man turned 1 on thanksgiving this year! He has been such a joy and a blessing to have in our family. He is such a good baby and we love every bit of him. I have been lucky to be able to stay home with him and enjoy seeing him grow and learn new things. He has grown and changed so much since the day he arrived. He is such a daddys boy and is a spitting image of his daddy. He is constantly surpriising us with new things, sounds, and noises that he comes up with and loves to repeat them until he gets you to do it with him.
He is good at keeping us laughing, the things he comes up with are hilarious. He loves chasing his puppies around the house and bugging them to no end. He is into everything, you cant leave anything out or he is right there to pick it up and run away from you cause he knows you are going to take it away.
For his birthday party we had both sides of our family there and my parents were able to be here for it too. it is always so fun when family gets together. I setup a scavenger hunt for all the kids and by the end they were so tired but they got a bag of candy at the end so it was worth it. after that we opened presents and he got lots of elmo toys a truck and some clothes. he wanted me to open each one as we opened them. he loved especial his elmo dolls he walks all over the house holding both of them, if you ask him where his elmo is he looks for it and gets excited when he finds it. He loves to sleep with them and cuddle it is so cute. then we sang happy birthday and he wasnt to sure what was going on but daddy had to help him blow out the candle. I made an elmo cake and it turned out pretty cute but will never do it again to much work. We cut a pice off and stripped colton down to his diaper and let him at it. Oh boy did he love it he was stuffing it in like it was going to run away, it was fun to see him enjoy it. It was a great party cant wait till next year when he can realize whats going on a little better.

My sisters and i took the kiddos to the some dairy farm (couldnt tell ya the name) all you had to bring was 2 cans of food and you got in free. it was fun to see colton just looking at all the animals and point at them. When we first got there we went straight to the hay ride. we waited a little bit but got on really fast well we were the 1st ones in line. They gave a little backround of the farm and talked about all the cows, there were a ton of them. Colton loved it and kept standing up to see them all. there was even a calf that was born that morning and we got to see it. it was fun to hangout with my sisters and colton to be with his cousins.

Halloween this year was Coltons first halloween! he was the cutest tiger on the block. He even let out a couple of roars at my sister, i was dying laughing. we went to my sisters trunk or treat with tons of my family. He was a stinker at first then we let him walk and he was good. He wasnt to sure what to think with everyone in costumes but still had fun. He got some candy and kindly gave to mom and dad. next year will be a lot more fun cause he will hopefully be into a little more. hope everyone had a good halloween.

Baby # 2 is a.........

We found out Oct 28th (my birthday) that yes we are having a little baby girl! it was the perfect birthday present ever i was the happiest person on earth at that moment. We couldnt be more excited! This whole time i wanted a girl so bad but i would have been happy with whatever we were given just as long as they were healthy. Andrew kept saying that colton was going to have a baby brother but i said sister. well sure enough i was right. i went into the ultrasound preparing myself if it was another boy so i could still be excited (bad i know). but when she said its a GIRL i had a tear in my eye i was so excited and andrew was shocked, colton just smiled like he knew the whole time. andrew says now it is time to buy guns, she isnt even here yet and he is already freaking out. well he will be a protective daddy and i know that colton will be a protective big brother. Pictures to come i cant figure out how to put them on here yet.

Colton was 11 months Oct 26. He is growing in so many ways. his personality is so cute and developing and is a happy baby. He is a walking fool now! he is all over the place and is really good at it, but he doesnt know how to get back up by himself once he falls but i know that he will get it, i just have to give him time. He is getting into everything and is sometimes hard to keep up with him. he is all over the place and is loving that he can walk. I love that when andrew is unlocking the front door coming home from work colton walks as fast as he can to greet him and gets so excited and waits at the gate for daddy to come get him, it is such a precious sight to see. he loves daddy so much he is constantly saying daddy and goes looking for him. he is such a daddys boy. i cant believe that my little man will be 1 on thanksgiving, yep thats right his birthday is on thanksgiving. we are so proud of colton and all the he has accomplished. we love you baby boy.

oops backwards Colton was 10 months sept 26th. i know it is a little late.

Wow where has the time gone, my little baby boy is growing so fast. he is a handful though he never stops going he is like the energizer bunny. He keeps our house looking like a bomb blew up toys everywhere. i dont clean up until the end of the night cause it just isnt worth it. he is starting to take steps and let go of things and then realizes that he let go and then falls. Hopefully he will be full on walking by his birthday but andrew says halloween, we will see. he is so fun and i cant get enough of him with his fake laughs and funny noises just keep us laughing.

he loves elmo so much it is so cute when he comes on he gets so excited and will go sit in his elmo chair. he will pat my growing belly and i say baby and he gets so happy, so i think he knows but not fully. he is going to be a great big brother and cant wait to see what he does with the baby attaches them or loves on them, i cant wait to see them together.

I love that he is starting to be a cuddler, it is my favorite and eat it up any time i get the chance. he will just come and lay his head on my lap or arm and it makes me feel needed. we love this little man to death and glad that he is a part of our family. we love you baby boy.

9 months and growing!

Colton is 9 months. We went to the doctor on thursday and he weighs in at 20lbs 12oz 54th percentile, i think he is losing some weight now that he is mobile. 28 inches tall 41st percentile, head 18inches 63rd percentile he does have a big head but i love it. the doctor says he is doing good and right on track. He is so much fun for us and keeps us laughing. He finally got 1 tooth on the bottom coming in and the the one next to it is right behind, so i have had a cranky baby boy lately. He is all over the place since he crawls now like a champ. He can say mama, dada, his first word was dada. he gives you five when you ask him to, and he is starting to wave but it is backwards for now, but he will get it. He loves climbing onto or over anything especially lyla our dog he loves her so much it is so cute to see him with her and she just sits there and takes it but gets back at him by licking him. If we leave anything open he will go right to it and see what he can get into. He is so much fun and i am glad he is growing to be such a healthy baby boy. We love you Colton.

24th celebration in saint johns

We went to Saint johns this year for the pioneer celebration. It was so much fun. We got there on wednesday and went straight to my sister aprils house to check out her 2 day old baby, she is so tiny and cute they named her audrey. Andrew was tired after working that night and took a little nap while i hungout with my mom and aprils kids. Thursday we hungout during the day and then that night was the chili dinner and ice cream social, all you can eat ice cream it was the best, but we only got 1 cause the lines were so long. Friday was the kids rodeo, my neices and nephews enter in to do some events. they did the egg toss greased pig and catching the rooster. i didnt get to see them do the greased pig and rooster cause it was at the end i had to go meet with my friend emily who i havent seen in a long time. My aunt and uncles family were at the park where i was with my friend so we went over and joined the party. We talked and had a great time. We ended up playing gogulabonkin (cant spell) it is a lee family game where you have socks rolled up for the ball and you would hit it with your hand and run the bases. Andrew wasnt too sure about it but once he started playing he had fun.
Then that night off to the campfire circle, where everyone parks around this big circle and eats dinner with their families. The homemade ice cream is always the best, and it is always so fun to be with our family, but for some reason we always end up with a pile of dirt in your mouth once the wind started we were out of there. Saturday morning was the parade. Colton had a lot of fun but didnt get any candy but next year he will be old enough to go out there and enjoy it more. All of the floats were good and at the end the fire truck comes and sprays all of those who want to get wet of course all the adults well most of them got way back so they wouldnt get wet. Most of my neices and nephews were soaked. After that we had a lee family lunch at the ramada at the church. There were close to 80 of there so we thought that was the perfect place to do it. My grandma wanted to hold colton and the first thing he did was pull at her necklace, i cant wear them cause he will end up breaking them. He loved her and couldnt stop smiling at her that was a moment to remember. Then we went to round valley to hangout with my bestest friend in the world, she had a tooth infection and was loopy from the drugs (sorry sarah) so she couldnt drive to SJ so we went up there to see her. She played with colton he was having so much fun he loves her, then they took us out to dinner , thanks sarah and sherrod. Then we left sunday morning. It was a jam packed weekend but the weather was perfect and the company was great. Thanks to my mom for letting us stay there, i love going up there to see my parents. I am glad that we had fun as a family. The pictures are out of order. oops

8 months

Wow colton is 8 months old. Colton is so much fun right now i love this stage, i am sure it gets even better though. He is doing the army crawl and getting into everything. He will also get on his knees and will move a little bit then fall so we arent to far away from full on crawling. He will also pull himself up on things and thinks that he is the biggest boy.He loves baby food and loves to get it all over him but i am just happy that he enjoys it. He is starting to become daddys sidekick, he wants andrew more and more over mom. But i think it is cute, I know andrew loves it. Colton would rather have me put him to bed than daddy so i guess he still cares about me haha. He loves spitting and getting it all over him and whoever is holding him. He wants whatever we have and will do whatever it takes to get it. He loves diving out of our laps or when we hold him it is kinda scary sometimes he just does it unexpectedly. He is fearless. I am so happy that i get to stay home with him and see him grow. We love you colton and cant wait to see whats next.

Colton is 7 months. what the heck where has the time gone. he is growing up way to fast. He is such a good baby we just cant get enough of him. His personality is so fun and keeps us laughing. he loves sitting up and playing with his toys, he will fall over sometimes and ends up rolling all over the floor sometimes i am like where is colton it is too cute. he has been so obsessed with our dogs lately that he grabs them and pulls their hair and then they run from him and he also lets them lick his hands and then starts laughing, yuck i know but we wash his hands afterwards. it is a good way for the dogs to get use to him. He hasnt started crawling yet, he hates his tummy when i put him on his tummy he rolls right over to his back and not sure how to fix that but maybe he will go straight to walking. Not much has really changed in the last month he just gets cuter and cuter. we love you colton and cant wait to see you continue to grow.

BEST DADDY EVER!

Andrew is such a great dad. Colton is so luck to have such a loving, caring dad that will do anything for him. I am such a lucky gal to be able to call him my husband. He is everything that i wanted in a father and more. Colton gets so excited when ever he sees daddy, especially when he comes home he is literally jumping for joy and cant stop smiling till daddy comes and gets him. You can just see the joy on andrews face and you can see how much he loves our little man.
He provides for our family so i can stay home with colton and i am truly greatful and appreciate him so much. I love you so much andrew, Happy father's day!

Brother and his family were visiting from china and my sister came from utah. My brother came in thursday and we went the the pointe hotel where he was staying and went to the water park that they have there. i went down the waterslide that goes straight down i was terrified to go but i did and screamed the whole way down, i got the biggest wedgie in the world but it was fun. We then went the following wednesday to my parents house, when i got there no one was there i was ticked but then my dad appeared out of no where and said they went to lyman lake so we got back in the car and off we went to lyman lake, andrew stayed behind and slept he had worked that night before. i got there and it was so windy that after being there for an hour we had to leave but was fun. then we had a bbq, and my mom reserved the pool for our family that night. so we braved the cold water and got in, getting out was a different story it was so stinkin cold, but colton loved it and was having a ball. the next day we went to my parents resort in pinetop and went swimming again and played on the playground and had dinner. colton was not doing so good after swimming he ate his bottle and threw it all up all over him, it was sad. the next day we just hungout. All the kids got snowcones and so i couldnt resist and had to get one to. The weather was so awesome, we would just sit on the back porch and talk. i am glad that we got to go and hangout with my family even andrew had a good time which doesnt happen much since he isnt a fan of saint johns. i love my family and greatful for them all. these pictures are a little out of order.

This past weekend was andrews family reunion. It was so nice to go to his grandparents cabin in pine. the weather was so nice i didnt want to leave and come back to the hot place. we were only there for the day but enjoyed it so much. just hanging out with the family and making jewelry. i am not very good at it but it was fun attempting. Colton of course loved it. he was so cute when him and cousin londyn were holding hands and he was trying to munch on her hand. they were just talking back and forth to each other they were too cute. needless to say it was a nice time while we were there. here are a few pictures of the reunion.

6 months already!

Colton was 6 months on tuesday, but we went to the doctor today. Again i was wrong with his weight he weighed in at 19lbs 75th percentile, height 27 inches 70th percentile, head 17.5 inches 70th percentile. So needless to say he is right on track. Colton loves waking up early but it is so cute cause i hear him playing around in his crib and when i go get him he is holding to both of his feet and rolling back and forth or he is completed turned around the opposite way just talking away. he is a big talker and loves to scream once they find their voice it is over from there but i love it. he is staring to crawl a little bit on his belly. He has strong legs and loves to jump around on us and in his jumparoo he goes nuts in that thing. He can put himself in a sitting position but then falls over it is a work in progress but i know it wont be to long. He will chew on anything that is in his path and loves to pull and eat my hair. Like i said he is teething and the 2 front teeth are really close to breaking through it is like using the jaws of life to look in his mouth he doesnt like it when i am poking around in there he would just rather chew on my finger instead. He grabs at anything in his reach i have to be way more cautious or else he will get a kung fu grip and wont let go. he loves bath time, he starts screaming and jumping around when he hears me turn on the water to cute.He is just growing up way to fast but we love to see him accomplish new things.

Weekend in pine

This past weekend we went to andrews family cabin in pine. It was so awesome up there the weather was so nice, it rained a lot in the day but it was still so much fun to just be with family and eat good food all day long. andrew isnt a fan of going up there but the wonderful man that he is knows that i do so he went with us. colton loved it but towards the end he was getting really cranky which is not like him if you know my child he is the happiest baby ever, but he is teething big time his 2 front teeth are coming in, hopefully it wont be much longer i want my happy baby back.

Last week my sister heidi invited us over to play in the little pool out back i thought perfect it was a hot day and colton hasnt experienced the pool yet. So off we went. when we got there the kids were already playing and having fun. so i stripped colton down to his diaper i put his feet in and his face said it all, it was cold. but then he got used to it and was slashing around in no time just like he does in the bath. he looks so cute with his new hat that we bought for summer. thanks heidi for inviting us over.

Colton turned 5 months yesterday. where did the time go it just seems like yesterday we were having him. he is growing like a weed and i mean really. He is close to almost 20lbs. We didnt have doctor visit thats next month, so i am not for sure on his weight but he feels like he weighs that much. He is such a good and happy baby. He keeps us on our toes and makes us laugh all the time. He is rolling over both sides and is sitting up for periods of time. He loves chewing on anything he can get his chubby little hands on. He is still teething i think cause he goes nuts chewing on our finger but no teeth yet. He sleeps through the night but sometimes he will have a bad night but not usually. He loves talking and laughing and grabbing for things. anything that you eat he is trying to get his hands on so he can have some of it he is quick so we always are making sure that he cant get to it.
He loves watching baby einstein he just sits there and laughs and always has a smile or is either very focused it is so cute. he has migrated to the big boy bath, he is just to big and loves to splash around and get water everywhere but he loves the big bath and loves being naked. when he sees me turn on the water he goes nuts and cant wait to get in but hates when i get his hair wet and he gets it on his face then he gets mad at me but he gets over it. he loves going on walks and always ends up asleep yeah for me. He also is now eating big boy food and really loves the bananas he cant fit in the bumbo anymore dang those chubby little legs so we moved to a high chair but he loves it. We cant wait to see you continue to grow. we love you bug. Love mom and dad.

Happy Easter (late i know)

Easter was so much fun. We first colored easter eggs on friday night, all colton wanted to do was eat them hench the picture below. He managed to grab the bowl with blue color in it and spilled it all over him and me so I had a blue shirt and he had blue bum and legs. It was still fun to see him enjoy it even though he didnt know what he was doing. The next morning was andrews family party we had tons and i mean tons of food that was so yummy and then had an easter egg hunt. we had to have it inside cause it was raining, there were tons of eggs and tons of kids. Then andrews brothers brought there airplanes to fly and dropped fruit rollups from them and all the kids went nuts it was fun.
After that it was off to my family party my sister and her family from utah came down and so did my parents. we had an egg hunt at my sisters greenbelt me and colton hunted for eggs even though he didnt eat the candy of course we did. Then we played kickball it was so much fun, at certain points people were slipping and falling huge puddles of water but everyone was a good sport. Then we went back to my sisters house to paint eggs that her husband made out of wood. i painted coltons but it didnt turn out so good but i am sure he didnt mind. Then off to church on sunday colton looked so cute but of course drool all over his vest, he is a slobber king and it just keeps getting worse. I am greatful for easter and what it stands for i love the savior and am truly greatful for what he did for us. I hope that everyone had a great easter.

First trip to the zoo (3 different posts below)

On wednesday we took our first trip to the zoo as a family. It was so much fun to be together and have family time. Thanks to aunt lyndsay for inviting us. Colton was looking all over the place we couldnt keep him in his stroller. First he was carried around by daddy in the snuggle thing and then we took turns carrying him, it is hard carrying around a 18lb baby going up and down hills, well i dont recommend it at all. I cant wait to do it next year when he will react to the animals. Here are a few shots from our adventure.

Cereal anyone

So after coltons 4 month visit the doctor told us we could start him on cereal. the first time i tried it he had no idea what was going in his mouth. He spit it out right away and started sucking and chewing on his thumb. He is starting to get a hang of it and seems to like it. We are going to start other foods but we have to do one at a time to make sure that he isnt allergic to any of them. Again he is growing way to fast but still as cute as can be.

So the day after colton turned 4 months me and andrew decided that it was time to cut his combover. it was getting crazy looking so my sister mindy came over to do the honors, thanks aunt mimi. He did good except a couple of times he was tossing his head back and forth. Other than that he did really good. i was so sad to have to do it i wanted to cry but i held it together and away she chopped. I saved his hair, but who knows what he will do with it but i had to save it. He is growing up so fast it makes me sad, where did the time go.

Colton is 4 months

Today was coltons 4 month check up. He weighed in at a whopping 17lbs 4 oz and 25 inches long his head measured 17. he is in the 90th percentile for weight no big surprise there, 55th for height and 70th for his head. He cried his eyes out when the shots came along. Needless to say he is a very big boy. He is our chunky boy. We love ever bit of him, he keeps us smiling and laughing all day. Colton has found his voice and has no problem letting everyone hear it. he also has found his thumb, he loves sucking on it when he doesnt have his paci sometimes he pushes it out of the way to suck on his thumb. He is such a happy baby. We are going to start him on cereal and then will move on to baby food. He is growing up so fast. Here is an overload of pictures of our little bug there were so many i couldnt resist. We love you so much bug and cant wait to see you keep on growing.
